John DeRocker, an executive with Nexus Information Systems, also was added to the organization's Hall of Fame. VTN is essentially a group of about 450 of Ingram's most elite and successful channel partners. During an awards dinner held during the group's recent conference in San Diego, Vitagliano, a former IBM exec., was singled out as a top channel chief who has been a long, avid supporter of the group and and as someone who understands how to partner successfully with channel partners.

Ingram Micro also lauded 21 solution providers for exceptional efforts in such areas as overall sales growth, startup success, partnership efforts and sales of specific vendors' products. The VTN Partnership of the Year awards went to channel partners SOMA Inc. in the U.S. and Long View Systems Corp. in Canada.
