Leser takes over from Nancy Reynolds, who left Trend Micro two months ago to run channel operations for another company. In a prepared ststement, Leser said he looks forward "to build and grow channel programs and comprehensive solutions." The channel executive will be charged with sustaining, advancing and executing overall channel strategy.

Leser previously worked as a VP at Novell's where he oversaw that vendor's channel program, government and healthcare sales. He will report directly to Darren Blank, Trend Micro's VP of North America sales and marketng.
